What happens on tour definitely does not stay on tour at the Wine & Book Club! Last Thursday we launched the nationwide Lindeman’s Wine & Book Club tour from the Marylebone branch of Oxfam bookshops on Thursday – and you can see some photos from the event below! Don’t forget the Wine & Book Club will be touring Oxfam bookshops nationwide throughout January – you can find your nearest location here.

The event saw wine and book lovers came from far and wide to donate some of their most loved books, enjoy wine and canapés, meet TV presenter Penny Smith and hear an extract from her favourite book, Pride and Prejudice!

Oxfam joins the Wine & Book Club to launch nationwide Lindeman’s events in Oxfam bookshops

Did you know that around 70% of books on British bookcases have never been read? To combat this injustice and help good books find good homes, Lindeman’s and Oxfam are teaming up to help local communities get together over a glass of wine, dust off those unread books and put them to good use in support of Oxfam.

World Book Night 2012 takes place today, which means readers all over the world will be handing out special copies of their favourite books to spread their love of literature throughout their communities.
